SU YOON

While working the COMPASS show last week, one brand really stood out in the sea of sneakers and boots, NYC based SU YOON. Launching in Fall 2010, the collection features a mixture of traditional materials, unique hardware, and sport influences such as EVA rubber inserts, knee pads, and color-blocking executions. These details help support re-engineered silhouettes such as the “not so basic” pump, a sculpted wooden wedge, the “everyday” flat boot, and an over-the-knee boot. The black over the knee boot had flourescent pink leather lining and a hidden wedge in the heel to give even more height.

Fierce feet

The downtown scene dominators came out for last night's Six Scents lauch party at the New Museum. Eddie of Stylesightings captured the stylish people, and no surprise here, they had on some hot shoes.

rain avengers!

Every heroine needs to keep her feet dry while fighting the rain, but with these galoshes you can strut the street on the sunniest of days or get down on the dance floor on the clearest of nights. Besides being badass 3" rain boots, I was surprised to see how affordable they are ($49.95!)

Available in black, hot pink, buttercup yellow and apple green by Shuella.

KrisVanAssche Velcro Kicks

I've always had a weakness for velcro sneakers- the more straps, the better. These shoes by KrisVanAssche are a dream come true.

Happy Campers

Spanish based Camper shoes has undergone some design updates over the last few years. Still a leader in the comfort footwear sector, they have been gradually adding more and more heels and modern fashion elements to their vast collection. Staying true to their creed of "Comfort with Imagination", all of their heels (some reaching 4inch heel heights) are engineered for all day comfort (even running around NYC all day comfort!).

Here's a preview for this Fall...
