Everybody's talking, nobody's listening

1. SUPREME scorpion keychain: Let everyone know you sting..and it hurts.

2. Vintage telephone bag: I remember this guy's face cause he works at DOG in Tokyo and I went back to that store like 3 times over the course of my week there. Anyway, I researched this bag and it actually was meant to function as a real phone too when you plug it in. They are from the 80s so there's probably a few floating around for sale.

3. Mishka Have a Nice Day T-shirt: Oh you recognize this print from Jeremy Scott's SS11 collection do you? Well the boys at Mishka did it for fall, and it's a lot more wearable on a tee.

3D fuzz

Ahhhhh, the mellowness and simplicity with the snap, crackle, pops of color and a shiny shopping bag...courtesy of Jil Sander SS11.

Hello, I'm batty

I couldn't resist this Alexa Chung for Madewell tee- the graphic is so simple but says enough to people without me uttering a word. Oh yeah, and I'm now the proud owner of the Margiela watch face ring thanks to a Yoox.com Loves Maison Martin Margiela 48 hour sale last week. I've been stalking this thing forever!

Greater than the sum of its parts

Here's a formula I picked up on from Acne and Minimarket that I'm loving at the moment: a single bold hue + long relaxed pieces + narrow metallic shades + platform sandals. Keep this little equation in your back pocket for spring and thank me later!

Dance

I'm kinda feeling the Klinge platform shoe from Aldo with its nubby toe and huge elastic band. I had mostly shrugged off the chain until Ms. Stam stepped in and raised the roof I guess...I see a lot better looking options now than in seasons past.

I can't feel my face

Yeah here we go....more face-melting photo prints! Marios AW10 DELIVERS the visuals and I want to reach my hand through the screen and touch that cream fabric too! The Duomo Showroom blog promises the webshop will be coming back in the near future too so hopefully we'll be able to get some of this gear outside Japan. Cross your fingers and your toes. (Until then, if you live in the UK or in Europe, you can score some Marios as part of Topshop's Emerge collection)

Walk like an Egyptian

THIS is one of the most inspiring outfits I've seen in street style land lately. This chick straight rocks the clashing pattern steez, not to mention inspiring me to kill it this fall with the same clear converse. Also, I'm really feeling the hair and purple lipstick!

Hand wash

Jeremy Scott tee from Colette; ATM; my Comme des Garcon hex shoes

Hide ya face

I was digging around the webs for old editorials from THE FACE the other day cause they all pretty much ruled but I found so many rad ones from the 90s (of course). It's all about the 90s these days isn't it? Why does this stuff feel so fresh? I'm gonna start putting some dough towards these old issues.. there are very few magazines I buy these days anyway.

Scarf Face, September 1997

Oh what are these magnificent creations? Comme des Garcons, well duh.

How awesome is that McQueen skirt??

She's dazed & confused about New York too...

Future Shock, July 1994

I already tried searching for these Yamamoto ice cube shoes...hey you never know!

The COLORS.

Sun Spots, November 1996

Like seriously? I think I need these aqua leather pants.. kinda Christina Aguilera 1999 but so into it.

Holy shit batman!

This is one of the most insane collabs I've seen guys!! Last week, Style.com got a sneak preview of The Keith Haring by Nicholas Kirkwood collection, which will be comprised of 12 total styles and is set be released in February. Can you even wait to see the whole shebang after this tease? I know I can't.

The morning after

A couple weeks ago, Ann-Sofie Back presented her first full collection for Cheap Monday in Stockholm. With Back being one of my favorite modern designers, and Cheap Monday being a line I've eagerly watched grow over the past few years, Spring 2011 hit a mark I'll be happy to indulge in next season. Back looked at Latin and LA denim trends this season for inspiration, and somehow managed to successfully fuse these tacky influences into all the elements you would expect from Cheap Monday and more: looks that are casual, sexy and a bit rough around the edges. The clear pvc boots used in the show were perfect at completing the "GET it girl!" vibe, and I encourage you to watch the show video complete with waterfront runway and late 90s dancehall tunes.
