Something's missing

I've noticed a pattern in my recent "OMG, must have!" shoe sightings. It looks like I have a thing for black wedges...of the cut-out/hybrid category. I would buy any of these if I could right now—the beauties in the upper right are from Vagabond, so I'm once again reminded they don't ship to the US....sigh.

Rough summer

I generally favor bikinis over one piece swimsuits, but this one is just too good. Ksubi already kicks ass in the t-shirt graphics department so I'm stoked to see them translating that skill to swimwear. The cut of this seems nice in all the right places, and I love the abstract and gritty feel of the print. I'm still skeptical about purchasing swimwear without trying it on, but this could double as a bodysuit and make for some killer outfits, so maybe it's worth it!

At the drop of a dime

DROP™ (aka dropsnap) has quickly become one of my fave go-to sites for streetstyle inspiration. I always find outfits I want to mimic (or at least attempt with what I've got), and since they update a lot, I always find awesome new ideas to brighten my day. Here's a few recent ones I love. One thing I envy about girls in Tokyo—and I've probably said this before—is that they really have their layering game down!

Gone in a flash

There will always be a place in my wardrobe for bright/circus-friendly prints. Luckily I have Eley Kishimoto to rely on season after season for such a fix. For spring, the British label has partnered with Eastpak to produce a limited line of backpacks and bags, all covered in Kishimoto's signature flash print. This would come in handy when the boyfriend and I go to Berlin this year, because he'll need to be able to easily spot me when I wander off in a shopping daze.

Demeulemeester Draped Dress

Some good things pop up now and again when you are searching for your fave designers on ebay. I spotted this Ann Demeulemeester dress/shirt number (I think from Spring 06?) that starts at a fairly low bid. I love that you can pull and wrap those buttoned straps in different ways to change the way it lays on the body. Plus, the loose fabric leaves plenty of potential for layering, although with that open back I think nothing underneath would look hot. It's a size 38 or 0/2 if you are considering acquiring this for your wardrobe.
