Succulents

I have a confession to make. I'm sort of addicted to succulents...you know those plants so cute you want to squeeze their cheeks (except the cacti, you don't want to do that). Since moving into a new apartment in December, my roommate and I have gone a bit succulent crazy over here. And with that comes the need for stuff to pot them in. I tend to prefer simple white ceramic pots, but then I saw these works of genius. The artist, Rachel Mahlke, wanted to emphasize the fearless & glamorous woman when she decided to repurpose stripper heels, but I just see two of my favorite things living as ONE.

Masked man

I hadn't actually heard of designer JJ Hudson before coming across these intriguing images of the designer. Shot by German photographer Axel Hoedt, they were the result of an editorial commission by Katie Grand when she was still editor-in-chief at POP magazine. What started as a request to create one portrait, morphed into a larger project that depicts a man who never shows his face to an audience. JJ's masks are part Disney, part S&M and certainly one of the most creative examples of fashion sustainability I've witnessed.

Just another day in paradise

It's always around this time of year that I start pining for spring pretty badly. This whole tropical/ hawaiin print trend is only making it worse, but I'm def on board with it 100%. One of the finest examples I've seen is Mother Denim's "Another Day in Paradise" jeans. Words can't express how awesome these are!
