For someone who's normally on top of Jeremy Scott's every move, I somehow missed these freakish beauties. What the hell are they? Why am I strangely attracted to them? Oh yeah, cause I like ugly shoes.

Pow! Now this is the kind of editorial I really get excited about...the shots are literally glowing. It certainly helps that it's all Acne. It was shot by Viviane Sassen for Acne Paper Spring/Summer 2012, modeled by Lida Fox, and styled by Mattias Karlsson. The same photographer shot this that shot one of my fave editorials ever from POP magazine in Fall '09. Remember that one?

What she order?

I don't pay all that much attention to the menswear scene, but there's a goldmine of stuff out there I shouldn't miss! Martine Rose is one such menswear designer. She shows at London Fashion Week and her Spring '12 show oozes a polished street attitude and skateboarding influence, complete with some sick CAT boots. It might not be for every type of boy, but that's why she showed on ladies too!

Paisley please

Jil Sander, Stella McCartney, J.W. Anderson- all used paisley this season, and in totally awesome ways I might add. But the most recognizable use of paisley in fashion has to come from the classic handkerchief design. From industry bigwigs to bikers and gangstas, its iconic design is unmistakeable. I, for one have always been a fan, so was stoked when I came across LA-based Rik Villa on Etsy. Working with actual handkerchiefs, the designer then reconstructs them into garments like shorts, t-shirts, bowties, and even kilt pants (yo Marc! did you hear that?). I'm considering the tank or shorts...so essential for my summer steez!

It's always around this time of year that I start pining for spring pretty badly. This whole tropical/ hawaiin print trend is only making it worse, but I'm def on board with it 100%. One of the finest examples I've seen is Mother Denim's "Another Day in Paradise" jeans. Words can't express how awesome these are! a NY thing

I'm so stoked to see that one of my fave NYC streetwear labels, aNYthing, decided to use Venus X for their new spring lookbook. If you haven't heard this chick's name before, LEARN IT. This Harlem native has been generating steady buzz over the past year, largely due to an underground Brooklyn warehouse party she started called GHE20GOTH1K. I went a few times last year, and let me just tell you the vibe transcends amazing. Aside from that, she produces, books DJ gigs at NY Fashion week, and is an all around badass you'll definitely be hearing more of soon. But back to the clothes....that paisley shirt is like screaming my name. Go peep the rest of the lookbook here!

Gangsta grillz

I'm getting to that point in my life where I am finally starting to look at jewelry as an "investment." Whatever that means. All I know is when I look at this oversized Givenchy shark tooth necklace, I can picture it on my future eccentric 80 year-old self.

UH merica

I was originally going to be an American Gladiator for halloween last year. That didn't happen. Well the next best thing would be adding a second flag-inspired swimsuit into my collection, especially one by Jeremy Scott. Hey, I go to the beach like A LOT in the summer. Plus this can double as a bodysuit! On another note, I put up new stuff in the Mart.. go PEEP.

Under the Sea

The man, the myth, the legend...KARL. I don't know how he does it season after season. For Chanel's spring extravaganza he found his inspiration in a place where the sun don't shine. No, not THAT place you freak...I'm talking beyond the depths of the glistening ocean, far down where nature so elegantly takes its course. Think the fantasy of Little Mermaid meets the shimmering magic that is Glinda, the good witch from Wizard of Oz. Silvers and whites and iridescence formed the collection around a set only Karl could pull off. But beyond the clothing, the hair as an accessory, body jewelry and makeup really kicked some serious mother-of-pearl ass.
