Cass Bird for Sophomore

Cass Bird's photographs for downtown clothing label Sophomore depict a group of NYC cool kids on a typical outing in the city. They end up on bikes along the streets of Lower East Side in what seem to be natural moments of revelry. Bird typically tries to bring the element of unpredictability into her shoots by letting things naturally unfold, instead of having the whole shoot planned out. The highlight of the Sophomore shoot came when two of the models (including Bijou Phillips) while walking across a bridge over FDR highway lift up their tops and flash the cars below. That made for a pretty awesome picture, needless to say.
