You might remember the 2006 film Paris, je t'aime, essentially an ode to love in and loving Paris. Well now the same producer is making a New York version and as cliché as the concept of the movie seems, I will probably go see it. One, because the cast and directors alone is enough to lure me to the theater- Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Ethan Hawke, Christina Ricci, Rachel Bilson- the list of indie alumni goes on and on. And two, because I live in this mammoth place and so seeing movies filmed where you live is always interesting. You may or may not be able to relate to big city chance romantic encounters, but the cab driver in the teaser trailer said it best: "This is the capital of everything possible."
