Alexander Wang FW09

Seeing this photo earlier of Anna Wintour at the Alex Wang show made me laugh but it sort of sums up the scrutiny towards his work as of late...anytime someone bursts onto to the scene and gets tons of love so quickly like he has, there are always haters. But who cares right? He straight up served it tonight, and I want to be the girl in these clothes—a "modern day carnivore" as Wang put it. I mean, even SJP, who admitted being intimidated of fashion shows (so much that she rarely goes to any) came out for him. It's sophisticated, sexy with an edge, and every look just oozes confidence. It was hard to narrow to my faves but here we go.

Um, leather croc bike shorts? Are you kidding? It's so wrong but so right. I can't wait to see better photos of that leather bag. The look on the right has a mummy/slasher movie vibe going on but oh so hot.

I'm psyched he did this dress in purple...I love the simple cut—total understated elegance. I have to agree with Jen about the look on the right. It's pretty awesome- I need figure skater leggings like right now.
