Update to my coming soon post the other day: a lot of you seemed interested so I thought I'd let you know that the sheer mini dress is now available over at AA. It's priced at $32 so a very affordable option for experimenting with mesh.
Perhaps if you want to try your hand at attaching fabric to it in lieu of layering, you could take some inspiration from this Henry Holland number.

burnthesebones: thanks for the love and that's an awesome idea. would love to see how it turns out!
Abigail: I just checked the link and it's gone now...strange. I'd just keep checking back or contact AA to see what's up. I was about to get it too!
Did you see M.I.A. perform at the Grammys? I missed it but caught this photo:

yeah i saw it. it blew my mind..so funny she wore that dress but i think she looked great.
Oh yeah! Only girl I've seen that can top it off with yellow nail polish.
well but m.i.a.'s dress is by house of holland.
is it possible that they took it out of stock again?
i looked it up at the online store and couldn't find it anymore...
fuxsake, the dress in this post (with polka dots) is the same dress M.I.A. wore to the Grammys by Henry Holland, (designer of House of Holland, yes). I was using it as a reference for the AA dress as inspiration for adding on fabric to it. I was in an AA store today in NYC and saw the dress so it's possible it's just out of stock temporarily online but if you have a store near you, just call and see if they have it. It runs small by the way.
