Nesting Instincts

I was checking out T's Fall Design issue, and next thing I know I'm looking at expensive modern Italian sofas. Hey, a girl can dream....if I ever landed in a fancy house (with dough left over), an amazing couch would be a priority purchase. The Nesting Instincts story in T featured this furry sofa sent down from the heavens, and yours for the cost of a new car.

It's from DDC where you'll also find these two works of art:

Mind is blown.

That furry sofa looks like a pile of giant tribbles. I... kind of want to roll around on it.

That first sofa reminds me of these weird Mongolian goat hair stools I found on first dibs a while back. There's something really appealing about hairy furniture!! Have you seen Alexander Wang's studio space? He has huge hairy black chairs, and they look pretty amazing.

i am not an advocate of fur, but that couch, omg, so awesome to roll all over!! and that last couch kinda reminds me of piano keys! oh, and i can't remember if i replied to you about produce dyeing, but it's really easy! just boil water, add cut up whatever you wanna dye to the water, then add your fabric. you can take the fabric out, let it dry, then stick it back to get it darker. only thing is that you have to figure out how to get rid of the smell! the purple cabbage creates a really pretty lavender, but is stinky!
