Skin tight

Ever get the urge to walk around in your birthday suit? I can't say I do, but I just had to share this project, created by Alba D'Urbano in 1994. The Italian artist studied philosophy and painting in the 70s and 80s, but found her passion in Germany where she studied and later taught computer graphics in the 90s. Around this time, she developed the "hautnah" or "skin tight" project in which Alba photographed herself, and digitally printed the life-size nude images onto clothing. The collection was presented at a fashion show during Art Cologne in 1997. Pieces from the original collection, which include tops, pants, dresses, and jackets, are still available to purchase for the brave & humorous set.

Wow. Those prints are amazing. Especially the lady bottom left. I guess this is a new/old spin on those novelty naked aprons haha
