Homeroom is an amazing streetwear line out of San Francisco. Mostly men's tees and sweatshirts, they do offer a couple of women's and kid's items as well as unisex accessories. Hand-crafted, quality clothing is rare to find these days, especially in the street wear game, but Homeroom knows whats up. Check out their awesome blog here.

Patricia Field for Payless
Downtown diva Patricia Field launches her second capsule collection for Payless this week. To celebrate, she held a party in her store and revealed her thoughts behind the collection.
"I draw much inspiration from my global travels to major fashion capitals including Tokyo and Sao Paulo, among the standards. On the global front, color and pop-glamour are key -- I am excited to bring shoppers these global interpretations in my Payless summer collection. For my second collection for Payless I was inspired to continue the strong metallic theme, layering on bright colors including electric blue, sleek silver and sunny gold with sparkle and high-shine detailing,” explains Field, whose first collection was inspired by her red carpet appearance at the Oscars, after she was nominated for her work on The Devil Wears Prada. The collection includes a variety of shoe styles and metallic clutches all in the $25 to $35 price range- you can't beat that!

Kathryn Amberleigh
I recently made a post on a pair of blue superhero-esque pumps that made me smile. Well since then, I discovered the designer behind these winged shoes, Kathryn Amberleigh, and I think I'm in love- with her shoes, not HER silly. Unable to resist the urge of stopping in Oak today after work, I saw a pair of Kathryn's black sparkly heels and couldn't believe how comfortable and cute they were. So tonight I looked her up and after seeing the rest of her candy-colored creations, I knew it wouldn't be long before a pair of them made their way into my closet. Any girl who can make glitter look fun AND sophisticated deserves a second look in my book.

Opening Ceremony webstore?
I just read a rumor on Coutorture that Opening Ceremony will open up an e-commerce site by the end of summer. Not that I can't just go down to Howard Street to browse the racks in person, but that's great news for you non-NY/LAers! Their constantly rotating inventory always promises the freshest stylings, some not available anywhere else, so a webstore would be a great idea indeed.

Still Life NYC
Still Life NYC has to be my favorite hat shop ever. I went into their LES store the other day after continuous dreams of owning a top hat. I changed my mind after trying on every hat in the store and realizing I really needed the perfect summer jam! I ended up buying this beige Dumile parri bundle hat off the shelf. There is also a well preserved selection of vintage shades. Frenel, the owner, is always so helpful and personal. They can help you custom design your own hat start to finish. Still Life will also be opening its very own millinery factory located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Stopping in on the weekend and every season is a must!

The Weekday stores very first brand MTWTFSS Weekday has now developed into a full-scale high fashion brand available only at Weekday stores. The new collection is inspired by shadows and geometric shapes, with a focus on the shoulders.
While I was in Stockholm this past March, I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few pieces. Now if only they'd sell to us Americans!

Wig Out
Some people wear wigs out of necessity, but others wear them for their ability to instantly transform or disguise. Japanese art director Nagi Noda has created a collection of synthetic hair hats in various animal forms like dogs or lions that will make your head into a work of art. It's no surprise that Bjƶrk will be using them in her UK tour.

Miriam Ponsa
I came across this effortless look by Barcelona-based Miriam Ponsa for her Spring/Summer 2008 collection. This is what summer is all about in my opinion- looking comfortable without sacrificing style.

Chloƫ Sevigny for Opening Ceremony
By now you've heard about Chloƫ's women's collection for downtown boutique Opening Ceremony. Well rumor has it that she is collaborating with them again on her first menswear range. If it's anything like the current collection, it will reflect Chloƫ's quirky, eccentric personality with some early 90s influences sprinkled in for good measure. As a bonus, it will be available in small sizes for those of us girls that like a bit of boyish tailoring in our wardrobes. No word yet on when it's due for launch.

Y-3 Honja High
Metal music's influence on fashion right now is particularly evident in footwear. I saw these Y-3 black studded high tops today at Shop Gentei in Baltimore and had to pick them up for a closer look. They are the perfect combination of comfort and avant garde street. If only the price tag was a little more recession friendly...

Cut Out Hightops
I'm in love with these Vulcan Cut Outs by Alexander McQueen for Puma. They would look hot on both dudes and ladies, especially with some wild socks peeking through. They are available in black and antique gold, but I must say I'm partial to the black because they are more slick and have a patent toebox. Pick them up on Karmaloop while they last!

The second issue of Mike Perry's Untitled Magazine just dropped! I have the first one and it's georgeous so I'm sure this one won't disappoint. It's printed in 3 color off-set, and filled with images from a talented roster of photographers. Even more awesome, it's the swimsuit issue!

Dancing in the Dark
I love wearing things that present a contradiction of sorts. These studded ballet flats give off a naughty and nice attitude that is way more interesting than just being, well, nice.
