Don't say anything at all

Sometimes being so aware of the fashion scene and what you consider to be great style makes you forget what everyone else actually thinks (not that I care I must note). Today's Racked Street Scenes featured a girl named Jessica in an outfit I found to be quite killer and chic head to toe, but there was an abundance of hate and ignorance in the comments.

This comment kind of explains it all:

As a guy if she showed up on a date looking like this I would think "ill just concentrate on her top half and if the date goes well ill pray she doesnt show up to the second installment looking like this."

I was about to write a rant earlier about the exact same thing. I love this outfit, not to mention the girl is beautiful and confident.. shocked at how many people irrationally hated on it.

(don't think I've ever commented on here before but hi, I'm Marika... http://wartimerecess.blogspot.com)

She looks amazing, boys are dumb- everyone knows that!
Just went to the site to give a full-of-outfit-love comment!

boys are dumb and dumb girls are dumb. the ones hating probably are the same chics that shop at abercrombie religiously

Goodness. I really like the outfit. Interestingly though, I showed my bf and another male friend the KTZ puffer platforms and they were both disgusted. In the end, people may or may not like your clothes, but if they're decent people they wont use it to judge you as a whole.

o no! this outfit is spot on! i love it. the little details in an almost monochrome look is what makes it smart too--she doesn't try too hard.

guys just love jeans and a tee, so u can't listen to them. and amanada, ure probably right about the girls who are hating....

i think she looks fucking amazing. and fuck the haters, we need the haters. they only hate because they can't touch what we are. i wore a sick outfit to a ball the other night - black skinny pants, black blazer, black tank, gold moschino belt, gold chains, 4" black maryjane pumps, and black fingerless fishnet gloves as the final touch and my boyfriend made a comment "you're supposed to look classy like that?" fuck em all!

thanks for all the comments ladies-i feel like this girls secret fan club!

melissa, that outfit you wore sounds hot...luckily i have a boyfriend that thinks i have cool style although he does make fun of certain items from time to time but in a loving way (if that makes sense).

It just goes to show that women dress for women, not men. Fashion is feminism!!

really -- someone needs to explain the vibe on that site to me. why do the people commenting, instead of expressing an opinion in humane or at least constructive way, jump right to tearing people apart and behaving unabashedly materialistically and borderline hatefully?

ergghh. Some people are so close-minded and just plain idiotic!
This outfit is perfect..actually, In my opinion it's quite minimal and understated. High-waisted jeans have been back in fashion for years now, why are they all shocked and appalled by them?
ahh I'm so annoyed by their ignorance!!

That's so true. I totally forget about what others think. But if you're with the right people, they wont give a shit what you're wearing! I think standing out is the best feature anyone can have.
