I had to do a search on my blog to make sure I hadn't written about
Christian Joy before, because I swore I had. She has been Karen O's personal costume designer pretty much since the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were just another Brooklyn band. Her costumes have ranged from deconstructed prom dresses, silvery space suits, to Day of the Dead inspired skeleton suits.
This past spring, Christian debuted her first collection of women's wear and is now on her third collection for Spring 09. Her designs use a steady palette of black and white, fusing modern ideals with very wearable shapes. You can find her clothes at select boutiques globally, including
